SpinSteady does not collect any data.
SpinSteady contains no networking code. It does not gather, store, or transmit any personal information, usage analytics, diagnostics, identifiers, or information about you or your drives. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.
What stays on your Mac
All of SpinSteady's settings — the drives you've added and their options — are stored locally on your Mac in the app's sandbox container. A single small hidden file is kept on each external drive you choose, solely to keep that drive awake. None of this information ever leaves your device.
Purchases
The optional one-time "Unlimited Drives" purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. SpinSteady never sees your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
